A market leading blockchain technology business is looking for a very strong cryptographer to join the growing Research & Development team. This position requires a demonstrable passion for research and collaboration.

Responsibilities:

• Experience in implementing zero-knowledge proving systems or related cryptographic primitives
• Comfortable in implementing low-level operations such as finite field arithmetics, hash functions etc.
• Enthusiastic about algorithmic improvements and code optimization
• Peer review of academic papers, active collaboration, and clear communication across teams
• Producing white papers of a quality similar to an academic or industry journal
• Support turning white papers into patent applications. This is achieved by liaising with internal and external patent attorneys
• Support professional services and engineering teams when requested

Experience and Requirements:

• The ability to work independently to produce scientific research papers, ideally demonstrated through journal and/or conference publications
• Understanding of blockchain fundamentals
• Agile project management techniques
• Experience producing patent applications
• PhD in a relevant field of study
